Whitewater 'Fast Track'
$140 (+ tax) per student
|
This one day course is designed for students
who want to learn the basics of whitewater kayaking. We
start out on flat water to help make the student become

of the construction of the kayak, outfitting and carrying
will be discussed, as well as entering and exiting the boat.
The on water portion of the lesson will cover the necessary
strokes needed to be able to get the most out of your paddling
experience as well as wet exits. After a break for lunch
we will move downstream to moving water. This river course
begins with a discussion about river features and entry
into the water with various terrain. The on river portion
of the lesson reviews all the basic strokes taught in the
morning part of the lesson, and more focus is placed on
leans and braces. While traveling down river, eddy turns,
peels outs and ferrying will be taught in friendly class
I rapids. Basic scouting and river etiquette will also be
